Songs of Summer with Damien Geter

Jessica Hall, piano | Available thru August 27, 2020.

Bass-baritone Damien Geter’s recent appearances include engagements with the Metropolitan Opera (Undertaker in Porgy and Bess), Seattle Opera (Colonel in The Falling and the Rising), Eugene Opera (Angelotti in Tosca), and Portland Opera (Dr. Grenville in La traviata.) He made his Seattle Opera debut in 2018 as the Undertaker in Porgy and Bess.

A composer in his own right, Geter is passionate about working to promote the preservation of the American art form – the spiritual. Geter’s program includes arias by Verdi and Mozart, a variety of art songs, and a musical theatre selection.

If you are enjoying our digital opera offerings, please make a donation to support the artists and staff that are collaborating to bring you opera in new ways.

PARTNER ORGANIZATION
With each recital, Seattle Opera is highlighting a partner organization making an impact in our communities. This time, it’s a nonprofit that’s transforming lives through the arts: Path with Art helps people with low-to-no income as they recover from trauma such as homelessness and addiction. Through the power of creative engagement, Path with Art Creates a path to stability—and a bridge to community—through free and accessible arts programming.
